SHIFT Aviation Solutions Ireland is an emerging company that has developed disruptive technology that will reduce and eliminate both extended flight vectoring and aircraft holding delays at the world’s busiest airports.
This proposition is called SMARTSlot® and when deployed by an airline will lead to more predictable flight operations, generating significant savings on its existing cost base. There will also be clear benefits for other stakeholders, such as; ANSP’s, airports and airport terminal operators.
SHIFT has also pioneered the development of Active Noise Suppression (ANS) that when available will help airports and municipal authorities meet the challenge of noise abatement and support efforts at working with local communities.
SMARTSlot®

SMARTSound®
SMARTSound TM is an active noise suppression system that can radically reduce the noise from aircraft during take-off and landing. This will support airports in their objective of maximizing runway assets while minimizing noise that is created during flight operations. It will also support airports and municipal authorities when engaging with local communities and noise abatement agencies.
SHIFT Aviation Solutions has produced a scaled-down prototype model that has been demonstrated to airports, airlines and aviation authorities in Europe and Asia. Development work is ongoing and a full-scale operational evaluation is expected to commence in Q3 2020 with an airport partner.
